About Us

About MiaLate

We make first-time pet care feel less confusing and more loving.

MiaLate was created for the moment many new pet owners know well: you love your pet, but you are not sure if you are doing things right. A puppy will not stop chewing. A cat hides under the bed. The food label is confusing. The internet gives ten different answers, and somehow all of them sound urgent.

We are Silas and Juliana Payao, and we built MiaLate to be a calmer place for beginner pet guidance. Our wedding photos are part of this page because they remind us of the kind of care we want to bring here: patient, attentive, and built on trust. Pets need that too, especially when they are new to a home.

For people learning as they go

MiaLate is not written for experts who already know every training term or veterinary phrase. It is written for readers who are trying to understand the basics: feeding, routines, safety, behavior, comfort, and the small choices that make a pet feel secure.

We focus on dogs, cats, and the everyday questions that come up in the first months of pet ownership. We want readers to leave with one clear next step, not a heavier sense of worry.

What pet care means to us

Good pet care is a mix of affection and responsibility. It is noticing patterns, asking better questions, and knowing when a blog post is enough and when a veterinarian, trainer, or behavior professional should be involved.

Silas helps shape articles so they are organized and easy to follow. Juliana reads with a softer lens: would this help someone who is nervous, tired, or trying to make a kind decision for an animal they love?

What we cover

  • dogs and puppy basics
  • cats and kitten care
  • pet care routines
  • pet behavior signals
  • new pet owner guidance
  • pet safety at home

How we work

We plan each guide around a specific beginner question, then separate practical home care from situations that need professional advice. Our goal is clarity: what you can try, what to watch for, and when to call a vet or qualified specialist.

We avoid fear-based writing. Pets are living beings with different needs, and responsible advice should leave room for context, health history, age, breed, environment, and temperament.

Our editorial promise

Our promise is to keep MiaLate compassionate, practical, and careful. We will never present general information as a diagnosis. We write to help readers become calmer, more observant pet owners who know how to ask better questions and seek proper help when needed.
