Editorial Policy

MiaLate publishes general guides for people caring for dogs and cats, particularly new owners. This policy explains how the site handles authorship, research and corrections.

Authorship and scope

Articles credit Silas Payao or Juliana Payao as their writer and editor. Neither author is presented as a veterinarian. A byline does not imply a clinical review. Guidance about symptoms, diet, medication or an individual animal's needs belongs with a veterinarian who can assess that animal.

The site focuses on tasks an owner can understand and plan: preparing a room, choosing supplies, noticing changes and organizing care. We do not publish medication doses or claim to diagnose behavior from a single gesture.

Research and useful detail

Sources should support the point they are linked to. Veterinary organizations, animal welfare organizations, public agencies and applicable manufacturer instructions help with safety-sensitive questions. A general pet-care homepage is not enough to establish a specific medical claim.

We distinguish sourced information, editorial suggestions and examples. A proposed routine is a starting point to adapt, not a schedule suitable for every animal. Product limits, health conditions, local rules and household constraints can change the appropriate choice.

Writing and images

Articles should answer their own question, avoid repeated filler and send readers to genuinely relevant related pages. We do not attribute invented experiences, qualifications, interviews, purchases or product tests to the authors. Photos are illustrative unless an article identifies a documented original observation.

Editorial tools, including software-assisted research and drafting, do not establish expertise or verify a claim by themselves. The site remains responsible for what it publishes.

Dates and corrections

The original publication date stays attached to an existing article. A substantive revision receives its actual update date. A change to shared navigation or hosting does not, by itself, turn an old article into new reporting.

To request a correction, use the contact page and include the page, disputed statement and supporting information. A reported error needs to be checked before the site describes it as resolved.

Advertising

Editorial guidance must remain separate from advertising. A publisher account or an ads.txt entry does not certify an article's quality. Any future sponsored material or affiliate relationship needs a clear disclosure on the relevant page.
