Disclaimer
MiaLate provides general information about living with dogs and cats. It is an editorial resource for owners, not a veterinary service.
Your animal's circumstances matter
Age, species, size, medical history, medication, environment and behavior can change the suitability of a routine or product. A guide cannot examine an animal or establish why a symptom is happening. Ask a veterinarian about health, nutrition, medication and unexplained changes. Ask a suitably qualified, humane behavior professional for help with handling or training problems that exceed your experience.
Urgent concerns
Difficulty breathing, collapse, a serious injury, suspected poisoning or inability to pass urine needs immediate veterinary attention. Call a veterinary clinic or the appropriate animal poison service for your location. Do not wait for an email reply or try an online remedy while an animal's condition worsens. Do not give medication or induce vomiting without a veterinary professional's instructions.
Products, plants and photographs
Read the label and instructions for the exact product you use. Terms such as natural, pet-safe or non-toxic do not establish that every exposure is harmless. Plant identification and the species of animal matter. Photos illustrate a subject and do not certify a setup, identify every object in the frame or prove product testing.
